OUR PROGRAMS

A place for
every reader.

Books to keep, stories to share, and reading support shaped around children and their schools.

We’re a nonprofit volunteer organization of book lovers and retired educators. Our teaching experience includes National Board Certification and work with students of all learning abilities, including highly capable and gifted students.

LET’S FIND WHAT FITS

Weekly, monthly, or one-time visits—let’s talk about your schedule and your students’ needs.

01 / BOOKS TO KEEP

A book
of their own.

We connect children with age-appropriate reading materials through schools, parent-teacher organizations, after-school clubs, book fundraisers, and community outreach.

Lupine Tokens & Book Days

Teachers can award Lupine Tokens for reading goals, good behavior, and other achievements. Children use their tokens to choose new books at a Lupine Book Day or through school staff.

Tokens are for any child who earns one—including children still finding their confidence as readers.

02 / READING TOGETHER

One story.
Many ways to connect.

We read one-on-one with beginning readers, English Language Learners, students with special needs, and highly capable and gifted readers.

Small-group book clubs can happen during class, lunch, recess, or after school. We work with teachers, administrators, counselors, and the school community to find what helps.

03 / PUPPET PALS

A little play.
A lot of possibility.

The Lupine Puppet Pals present short plays and read books with students. A play can follow a teacher’s curricular needs, with inclusion and reading always at its heart.

Stories invite children to participate, imagine, and connect.

04 / SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS

Made for
your classroom.

We work with classroom teachers to create reading lessons around their curriculum. These can run for two to five days, with the Lupines teaching the lessons.

At the end, each child receives a free book related to the subject.
